Coming together looking good

Coming together looking good

I always assume that nobody is looking at stuff on the internet, so imagine my surprise when I was feeding the socials for Sense Visuals and expected no traffic, but got over 150 views on both Youtube and Tiktok. That is … unexpected. Cool though. So I guess this would also be a good moment to actually launch the site, because to my incredible suprise that has already traffic too. Still, the internet is mostly bots these days, to whom I can only say: 01101000 01101111 01110111 01100100 01111001

Fresku, Tour visuls

It was awesome to work with Fresku on the visuals for his club tour. We've tried to really dive into the music, with enough room to have fun. The end result seriously containts one of my best works yet. Also shoutout to Teemong who's music video's I could use as source material.

Ruggeds, Dancers

With Noralie as art director, we searched for a way to visualize the movement of dance troupe Ruggeds, while they were performing. So in real time, projected during the show. Both a technical and a visual challenge

WTF
The VJ-Robot

Way before all this AI stuff going on, we already automated most of the mixing we do. Not-quite-the-same visuals, all night long, and if you have loud music, it will respond to that.
Use it for your band. You can make remarkable accurate click-tracks In google spreadsheets. Put it in your restaurant or club, through the night, every night. Have the visuals get more up-beat after 10pm. We can fill your set up with unique, custom visuals. Mix in your logo. Set your mood.

Virtual Mixer Project

The VirtualMixerProject is a virtual video mixer that can be built through a chainable interface in javascript and runs in WebGL. There is a website: VirtualMixerProject.com. There you can find examples and 'channels', which are in essence auto-mixed sets of video files. or gifs. Or images. Or solid colors or ...

It allows you to write an Edirol V4 video mixer in javascript, and then (re)mix your webpage. In real time.
It's a javascript framework, I build stuff with it like this site, but also live visuals and installations. It can even do interaction, as is still a browser surface in the end. It's BPM reactive, just enable your microphone. It supports Midi and Gamepad. And it's a lot of fun.

Same Space

In collaboration with choreographer Peter Lueng and veejays.com.
An experimental dance film exploring the same space.

I am approaching this virtual residency as a work-in-progress, a continuation of my personal and collaborative research and work. My aim is to gain insights into the relation between performance and audience, performers and performative sculpture, and, as a choreographer, the relation with composers and dancers.
